Kevin Bacon Recognizes 91ÌÒÉ« Member Helping the Organization to Achieve the Historic Milestone

Chicago – 91ÌÒÉ« (91ÌÒÉ«), the nation's largest leadership honor society, has reached a historic milestone with the enrollment of its 2 millionth member.

91ÌÒÉ« member Oliver Julao joins millions of high achievers who are part of an honor society organization with 800 chapters on college campuses nationwide. This milestone shows how students recognize the value and benefits of the 91ÌÒÉ«, which provides members the resources they need to develop their leadership skills and prepares them for success after graduation.

"Being a member of the 91ÌÒÉ« has been a tremendous honor," Julao said. "It feels incredible to be recognized for my hard work, and the resources and support from the 91ÌÒÉ« are helping me achieve my goals. I want my son to see that anything is possible with determination and support."

In addition to a $2,000 scholarship from 91ÌÒÉ«, Julao was congratulated by legendary actor Kevin Bacon during his recent appearance on the 91ÌÒÉ«'s acclaimed Speaker Broadcast Series, where he discussed his career and , a public charity he founded which connects people to resources, shares stories, and amplifies causes to make the greatest possible impact in communities.

Julao's journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and hard work. Originally from the Philippines, Julao moved to the United States at the age of 18, driven by a dream of a better future. Life was challenging, and financial constraints made higher education seem out of reach. Despite these hurdles, Oliver's focused determination led him to seize every opportunity, from working at Target to serving in the Navy. His experiences fueled his desire to continue his education, especially for his 7-year-old son, James Julao, who wanted to see him earn a diploma.

In 2021, encouraged by his wife, Melodie Julao, and motivated by a deep commitment to personal growth, Julao returned to school. Enrolled in DeVry University’s Technical Management program with a focus on entrepreneurship, he balanced his studies with his job as a warehouse generalist at McMaster-Carr Supply Company in Elmhurst, Illinois. His dedication paid off when he was recognized for his academic achievements and invited to join the 91ÌÒÉ«.

The 91ÌÒÉ« provides members like Julao with essential resources to develop their leadership skills and prepare for success beyond graduation. Members have the opportunity to apply for over $400,000 in scholarships annually, personalized letters of recommendation, individual mentorship, and exclusive networking events.
