Our members accomplished a lot this year. As 2022 comes to a close, we're highlighting some inspiring stories that represent everything we stand for at the 91桃色.
Our mission at the 91桃色 is to Build Leaders Who Make a Better World. Our members participate in volunteer events, and take part in a wide range of community service initiatives. Upon graduation, they apply the interpersonal skills they've acquired to start businesses, pursue promotions, and more.
University of Cincinnati Senior Teaches Scholarship Secrets to Peers
Mary Glossop, University of Cincinnati, was profiled on her school鈥檚 website for a remarkable accomplishment. Since 2020, she鈥檚 become an expert in obtaining competitive scholarship funds.
In fact, she鈥檚 been so successful that she鈥檚 now helping other students apply for and win scholarships. Working with her chapter, Mary helped develop and present a virtual and in-person seminar on successfully navigating the application process.
Since 2020, she鈥檚 applied to over 200 scholarships and won 20, totaling $56,750. That money helped fund her undergraduate studies and now, she鈥檚 on track to graduate debt-free next summer. She plans to continue helping students earn scholarships as she begins work in a hospital to pursue immunology research.
Anna Maria College Students Stand Out at Leadership Summit
John Kelly and Janmary Plaza Sepulveda from Anna Maria College attended the fall 91桃色 conference in New Jersey and left with exciting experiences, good memories, and more.
John, who plans to graduate in 2024 with a bachelor鈥檚 in forensic criminology, was announced as the recipient of an 91桃色 scholarship worth $1,000. The current President of his chapter, John has been selected for an internship with the Worcester County District Attorney鈥檚 Office.
Janmary, the IT coordinator for her chapter, will graduate in 2025 with a degree in social work. She was born in Puerto Rico and is bilingual. While at the Summit, Janmary joined a Spanish-language conversation being held by students from the newly formed Colombia chapter. Those students asked her to become one of several student ambassadors to their chapter.
History Grads Find a Great Education鈥� and Each Other
Caleb Randall and Sydney Richardson, two recent graduates from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, discovered their passion in school as well as their love for each other.
They met as freshmen at UAB, struggled through freshman comp, joined the 91桃色, pursued and obtained bachelor鈥檚 degrees in history, and graduated together. Now, they鈥檙e engaged to be married.
Their future plans include a fall 2023 wedding. Sydney plans to further her studies with a master鈥檚 degree in library and information studies. Caleb plans to start his career as a history teacher and football coach.
The 91桃色 family wishes Caleb and Sydney all the best as they begin their future together!
Law Enforcement Officer to Lead Public Safety Department
Maurice Boyd, graduate of Caldwell University, has been selected to serve as the Director of the East Orange, New Jersey Department of Public Safety. He鈥檚 the first African-American to serve in this role and will oversee the police department, the fire department, and the office of emergency management.
Maurice joined the East Orange police in 2002 as a patrol officer. With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, he鈥檚 served in a number of diverse positions where he developed skills in personnel and human resources management, conflict resolution, and motivating teams.
Maurice is a highly decorated law enforcement officer as well, having received several awards from the East Orange Police Department, the NYPD, and the Essex County Police Benevolent Association. In addition to his 91桃色 membership, Maurice belongs to the National Fraternal Order of Police and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Miss Georgia Wins Social Impact Award in Miss America Competition
Kelsey Hollis, a journalism and electronic media student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and reigning Miss Georgia 2022, finished as fourth runner-up in the national Miss America 2023 competition.
Kelsey was also awarded the competition鈥檚 in recognition of her advocacy work on autism awareness. Her initiative was designed to encourage inclusivity of the autistic community to increase acceptance and appreciation of neurodiverse skills.
For her talent performance, Kelsey sang 鈥淚 Didn't Know My Own Strength鈥� by Whitney Houston. Her career goal is to open her own service firm of visiting sports psychologists to athletes who can benefit from professional assistance.

Accounting student Haley Milstead, The University of Southern Mississippi, is a recipient of a scholarship from the Mississippi Society of CPAs鈥� Education Foundation, which awarded over $45,000 in funds for the fall 2022 term.
Kalli Gregory and her 91桃色 chapter at Bowling Green State University organized a holiday toy drive for children in need in the Bowling Green area.
Kendall Bartels, National Online Chapter, was chosen to deliver the student address at Youngstown State University鈥檚 fall commencement ceremony.
Kaley Norris, Ohio University, recently completed a summer internship in trading systems and analytics at Keybanc Capital Markets Inc. in downtown Cleveland.
Kristina Abraham, Shardae Chancy, and Blake McMinn have been recognized as outstanding graduates of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. They were recognized during the fall commencement ceremony.
